The small coves, the history, the paths and the cuisine of Begur will enthral you.
Begur was formerly a fishing village, a meeting point for coral workers, fishermen, returning emigrants from the Americas and cork workers. Its cobbled streets, the colonial houses of the locals who had returned from the Americas, the 16th Century defence towers and the Medieval Castle are icons of the village.
The local cuisine reflects its privileged location. You can find fresh local fish and seafood, seasonal and organic fruit and vegetables, top quality meat… Very different Mediterranean, modern, traditional and market cuisine styles. Festivities, fairs and traditions. Visits of cultural interest to sites, architectural remains and sea and mountain sporting activities, such as yachting, paddle boarding, snorkelling, kayaking, horse riding, golf, tennis and much more!
